Abstract
Svi brodovi imaju otvore na trupu, koji omogućuju pristup teretu prilikom prekrcaja tereta. Glavni zadatak otvora je stoga osigurati pristup teretu u luci zbog prekrcaja i osigurati nepropusnost i nekontrolirano otvaranje u lošim vremenskim uvjetima. Operacije s poklopcima grotala moraju biti što brže i jednostavnije zbog sigurnosnih i gospodarskih razloga. Stoga se poklopci grotala moraju dizajnirati na način da se brzo otvaraju i zatvaraju. Uglavnom se poklopci grotala izrađuju od konstrukcijskog čelika kao i cijeli brod, ali pošto je konstrukcijski čelik podložan koroziji zahtijeva se često održavanje.
Abstract (english)
All ships have openings on the hull, which allow access to cargo during trans-shipment. The main task of the opening is therefore to provide access to cargo in the port due to trans-shipment and to ensure tightness and uncontrolled opening in bad weather conditions. Operations with hatch covers must be as quick and easy as possible for safety and economic reasons. Therefore, the hatch covers must be designed in such a way that they open and close quickly. The hatch covers are generally made of structural steel as is the whole ship, but since structural steel is subject to corrosion, frequent maintenance is required.
