The means for reloading cargo on wheels are discussed in this paper. The main purpose of every merchant ship is the transport of cargo, where one of the main activities, due to the shorter possible stay of the ship in the port, is the operation of transhipment of cargo. Therefore, the equipment and means needed to load and disembark cargo within the port as efficiently and economically as possible are described. The main focus of the paper is Ro - Ro ships, which belong to cargo merchant ships, which were named Ro - Ro (Roll on - Roll off) due to the way they tranship cargo. Apart from the way the cargo is transhipped, one of the basic characteristics is the variety and type of cargo, which also affects the size of the ship. Another basic feature is the use of a ramp, which is one of the basic means of transhipment. In addition to the ramp, bow openings, elevators, side doors, bulkhead doors and decks for personal vehicles are also used. One of the main companies competing in the Ro-Ro ship market is MacGregor, which tries to be in line with changes and the environment by installing and maintaining ships.
